Classes and Instruction

As a club, we are not in the school "business" but instruction is an important element for growth in both modern and historical fencing.

Individual or Small Group Instruction

For those who have fencing experience or have completed the Introduction to Fencing class, individual lessons are an ideal way to work on more advanced topics or get introduced to the different historical weapons. This instruction can be arranged, pending availability of instructors, during any open fencing period on Tuesday evenings.

In general, there is no additional cost for these lessons beyond the membership or floor fees.

Individual lessons can also be an alternative way for someone new to fencing to learn outside of the group class (however, to be successful, this approach typically requires a mature and disciplined student to practice and arrange for lessons from the instructors).
